Barbara has a Masters of Arts in Theology and a Certificate in Biblical Spirituality from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago.  Her program included a term of study in the lands of the Bible:  Israel, Greece, Egypt, and Turkey.  Besides teaching a number of classes in the CBS, she presently leads study tours for students, further expanding their understanding of the Bible as the living word of God today.
Father Paul Steller has been a part of the Catholic Biblical Studies Program for more than 10 years.  Currently he is the pastor of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Lancaster and was chaplain at ECC North and South Newman centers for 28 years.
With a master's degree in religious studies from Catholic University, Father Steller teaches in the Deacon Formation Program at Christ the King Seminary as well as courses at various local colleges.  Besides teaching classes in our four year program, Fr. Paul is also a frequent presenter of our graduate classes.
Barbara Shanahan, MA
Barbara Shanahan has been the executive director and instructor in the Catholic Biblical Studies Program since 1992.  She previously held the position of diocesan director of religious education in both Illinois and Missouri.
